Founder of Leachly Club & Services

Lindsay Knezacek

Lindsay Knezacek is an artist,  nature lover, explorer, entrepreneur, animal activist, dog foster and cat owner.

As a person, Lindsay is best known for her volunteering, intaking and fostering hundreds of puppies and dogs with various behaviour needs. Naively saying yes, commiting to work through unknown behaviours. Lindsays approach was never to rush or force a dog. She set up opportunities and rewards to safely open up the dogs world and create trust.

Lindsay is very passionate about setting standards in this unregulated industry. Anyone can claim to be a trainer so providing force free education/recommendations and activities to make informed decisions and better your dogs life.

Leashly Club & Services was born out of a desire to provide something more in pet service industry. Build services around the individual dog providing them the fullest life. We believe the best life a dog can live is one with agency. Abilities to make decisions for themselves, discover what they want on their own time. Expanding your dogs world with various destinations allowing them to lead. We do not use corrections or aversive tools, we build a foundation before setting any expectations.

At Leashly Club & Services we simply support the concept of providing your dog with positive leadership.

Services should be different and exciting! However it should also be safe, and when dealing with new dogs and locations a close eye is needed. When we evaluate dogs in the Welcome Package assessment we believe it’s important to consider not just filling the service, but the dogs body language and engagement during the services. Our services incorporate genetic needs of each dog. A fulfilling service will have effect on both your lives.  We want you to enjoy being a dog owner to a happy, respectful dog. We also want your dog to enjoy having a fair and caring leader, that can do exciting things with, and be trusted in public to make good choices.

Why Groups?

Over the years of fostering Lindsay provided a custom approach. This now applies to the service style Leashly offers. Seperating dogs to meet their needs then build off of that foundation of trust first. Here is how each group started. Each Service caters to the genetic and emotional needs of each dog.

Gemma: Inspiration for
Reactive Rhinos

Gemma was a foster who was with Lindsay for around a year. Lindsay did not know what reactivity was but she learned quick. She completed local force free program DOGWITs Calm Dog. Lindsay learned valuable lessons which allowed her to open up Gemmas world in a safe way. Lindsay grew confidence in her abilities to manage Gemmas reactivity. Gemma has since been adopted and continues to meet new dogs.

Milo : Inspiration for
Energetic Elephants

Milo was my first purebreed high drive dog. Challenging my creativity to provide what he needs. Sniff work, hide & seek, new environments, challenging obstacles, store visits and more... Milo is Lindsays guinea pig. Lindsay chats closely with Milos owners to learn his at home behaviour. Helping fulfill his needs to set him up for success in the real world.

Zyrah : Inspiration for
Fearful Ferrets

Zyrah was one of Lindsays first extremely fearful dogs as a walker. Zy did not make it down the road without spinning out in attempts to run away from triggers. Lindsay learned the value of sniffing to soothe anxious behaviour. Overtime she grew out of the extreme fear period and is able to go on mini hikes now.
